EE Ford Grant: Dynamic Learner Profile (DLP) Project

With EE Ford’s $250,000 grant and matching support from the Breck community, we have an amazing opportunity to continue to catalyze change in the student experience with our school. Specifically for grades 7-12, the Peter Clark Center developed the Dynamic Learner Profile (DLP) to guide students in describing, reflecting, and acting on who they are and want to be as learners, to provide tools to articulate their understanding of themselves as earners and identify strategies to reach their goals. We know that students who understand themselves as learners enjoy school more, perform better, and have a growth-mindset about themselves. Ultimately, they become confident learners for life. The impact of our work has the potential to positively affect education on a national level because it will be measurable, scalable, replicable, and user-friendly. November, 2020

The PCC INVITED to present in Johannesburg, South Africa

Based on the latest research on learning and the brain, ITSI once again presented a workshop based on what we know from the insights on cognitive neurosciences. Following on the success of the 2018 event, featuring the CTTL, ITSI hosted another workshop in May, 2019 that explored the latest findings on neuroscience research and its relation to education. We ask the question: how do people learn and what can we do to improve learning? Presented as a hands-on, interactive workshop, attended by 200 educators, school leaders, and education specialists.
